Let’s make our own mobile charger for us or we can use this adapter as a power source of any kind of electronics devices. This is a simple but important part on working with electronic projects.
For this project we need some relative parts and tools.
- Transformer 24/2 or 12/2
- Diode 1N4001 4pcs
- Capacitor 0.1micro farad 2 pcs, 470 m.farad.
- Connecting wire.
- IC 78XX (here XX will be the regulated power code will be explained)
- Soldering iron
- Electric wire
First of all we will have to know that which wire are used as AC input and which are used as AC output. Now put the transformer on your hand and try to see the wires. You must noticed that there are 5 wires. one side has two and another side has three wire. AC input will be the two wired side connect the electric wire with a plug to give the transformer AC in. And the three wired side is AC output. There is a calculation. If you get 24/2 transformer than the three wires same colored two wire will give you 24 volts. If you connect the three wires different colored wire then you will get the half of the volts means 12V.
Now come to the circuit diagram.
As a power regulator IC 78XX will be used for 3V, 5V, 9V, 12V etc. We will use this adapter for 5V power supply. Si, our IC will be 7805.
Now just connect the connect the components as you are seeing in the diagram. Then solder the circuit and must connect with connecting wire. Then use our multimeter to test the power from the output.
