RED HAT ENTERPRISE LINUX 6 INSTALLATION PROCESS
STEP – 1

After waiting you see a text message just select SKIP and press ENTER
STEP – 3
Click NEXT
By default language select English (If you need, select suitable language) and click NEXT
By default language select keyboard U.S. English and click NEXT
STEP – 4
Select only Basic Storage Devices then Click NEXT
When you will keep beside both WINDOWS and LINUX in PC select No, keep any data or You want to install only LINUX in PC . Select yes, discard any data
STEP – 5
Do not change hostname and click NEXT
STEP – 6
Setting time then click NEXT
STEP – 7
write 6 character root password (If you forget this password you will never login root account) then click NEXT
You will see a message because your password weak. If you keep this password just click Use Anyway
STEP – 8
Select only Create Custom Layout [For Hard disk drive partition] then click NEXT
STEP – 9
Click Create
STEP – 10
Select only Standard Partition then click Create
STEP – 11
Create boot partition
Mount Point: /boot
File System Type: ext4
Size(MB): 200
Additional size Options select only Fixed size
Click OK
STEP – 12
Create swap partition
Repeat STEP – 9 and STEP – 10
swap partition size depend on your computer ram size . example : your computer ram size 512MB and swap partition size 1024MB.
My computer RAM size 1024 MB so swap partition size 2048 MB
File System Type: swap
Size(MB): 2048
Additional size Options select only Fixed size
Click OK
STEP – 13
Create root(/) partition
Repeat STEP – 9 and STEP – 10
Mount Point: /
File System Type: ext4
Additional size Options select only Fill to maximum allowable size
Click OK
All partition are created
STEP – 14
you will see a format warnings message Click Format
Again you will see a message only click write change to disk
STEP – 15
Do not change anything only click NEXT
Do not change anything just click NEXT
Installation process starting just wait
Almost finish installation process
Reboot your PC so click Reboot
STEP – 16
After reboot you see a WELCOME screen just click Forward
We don’t create any user only click Forward
when you click Forward you will see a message just click Yes
Click Forward
Click Finish
When you click Finish you will see a message only click No
Again you see a message just click OK
STEP – 17
This is Rhel 6 login screen
Click Other
write user name: root
Press ENTER
Write those password when you wrote a password in STEP – 7
Click Log In
Select Do not show me this again then click Close
This is RHEL 6 desktop screen
